01 - Set the oven to 450°F and place a pizza stone inside if available.
02 - Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your preferred thickness. Move the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
03 - Evenly distribute the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
04 - Scatter the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
05 - Top the cheese with diced ham and pineapple chunks. Add sliced red onion if desired.
06 - Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper and dried oregano to taste.
07 - Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly with slight browning.
08 - Remove from the oven, allow to cool briefly, then garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice and serve while hot.
