# Preparation steps:
01 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
02 - In a separate bowl, blend milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
03 - Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
04 - Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
05 - With floured hands, shape dough into 8 balls, flatten slightly, and create a center hole using a floured cutter.
06 - Fry donuts in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side until golden brown, then drain on paper towels and cool.
07 - Whisk powdered sugar with 2 to 3 tablespoons milk until smooth, then tint with red gel food coloring to desired vibrancy.
08 - Dip cooled donuts into red glaze and place on a rack; allow glaze to set for 10 minutes.
09 - Pipe or arrange mini chocolate chips or melted chocolate horizontally across each donut and place a yellow candy or fondant piece in the center as a belt buckle.
