# Preparation steps:
01 - Preheat your waffle maker following the manufacturer's guidelines.
02 - Spread a thin layer of softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice.
03 - Place two bread slices buttered side down on a clean surface. Layer two slices of cheese on each, adding optional tomato, bacon, or Dijon mustard if desired.
04 - Top each with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up, to form two sandwiches.
05 - Place one sandwich into the preheated waffle maker, close the lid gently, and press lightly. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melted.
06 - Repeat the cooking process with the second sandwich.
