16 - 1/2 cup sour cream
17 - 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
18 - 1 medium avocado, diced (optional)
19 - 2 green onions, sliced
# Preparation steps:
01 - Set the oven to 400°F and prepare a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
02 - In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart, about 5 minutes.
03 - Add diced onion and minced garlic to the beef; cook until softened, approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
04 - Mix in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Pour in water and simmer until most liquid evaporates, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat.
05 - Spread tortilla chips evenly across the prepared sheet pan.
06 - Distribute the seasoned beef evenly over the chips, then sprinkle black beans followed by shredded cheese.
07 - Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until cheese melts and bubbles.
08 - Remove from oven and immediately garnish with diced tomato, jalapeño slices, olives, green onions, cilantro, and avocado if desired.
09 - Drizzle with sour cream or provide it as a side accompaniment.
10 - Serve warm directly from the sheet pan.
