A vibrant and beautiful brunch board inspired by the jam girl summer aesthetic, featuring a medley of jams, cheeses, fresh fruits, and artisan breads for a sweet and savory gathering.

I first created this brunch board for a weekend gathering with friends. It quickly became a favorite, with everyone mixing and matching their favorite jams and cheeses for combinations that surprised and delighted.

Ingredients

  • Jams & Spreads: 1/2 cup strawberry jam, 1/2 cup apricot preserves, 1/2 cup blueberry jam, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup whipped butter
  • Cheeses: 120 g (4 oz) brie (sliced), 120 g (4 oz) sharp cheddar (sliced), 120 g (4 oz) fresh goat cheese (crumbled)
  • Breads & Crackers: 1 small baguette (sliced), 1/2 loaf sourdough (sliced), 1 sleeve multigrain crackers
  • Fruits: 1 cup fresh strawberries (halved), 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup seedless grapes, 1 ripe peach (sliced)
  • Nuts & Extras: 1/2 cup roasted almonds, 1/4 cup dried apricots, fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the jams & honey:
Arrange the jams and honey in small serving bowls, placing them evenly around a large board or platter.
Add the whipped butter:
Place whipped butter in a small bowl and set it on the board.
Arrange cheeses:
Neatly arrange all cheeses in separate sections across the board.
Fan out breads & crackers:
Fan baguette and sourdough slices, and pile crackers attractively.
Distribute fruits:
Arrange the fruits in clusters for color and texture contrast.
Add nuts & extras:
Scatter roasted almonds and dried apricots among other ingredients.
Garnish & serve:
Garnish with fresh mint leaves, then serve immediately, inviting guests to mix and match flavors.
